Gettting Ready

I have a total mental block when it comes to deadlines which is a bit of a handicap when it comes to making up orders and pieces for shows. I seem to be doing everything at the last minute, and although I am always ready the stress I put myself through is totally draining. I really need to get to grips with my time management. I have just over 24 hours to get two collections finalised for local galleries so blogging should be the last things I shuld be doing, ironically.

I am determined to sort this part of my life out as soon as possible, not only am I left drained but it seems to sap my creativity too, which is definately not good.

Tomorrow is going to be another long day. To make matters even more stressful I have a local market this and the following 2 Saturdays so I am prepared to be under pressure.

Finally Bitten the Bullet

After months and months of procrastination I have finally bitten the bullet and started a blog. My family have been bugging me for ages to get an "online presence" so here goes. I have spend so much time weighing up the pros and cons of promoting myself online I finally decided that I should actually just spend the time doing it.

In this blog you will be accompanying me on my journey in my little world of jewellery making.

I love what I do and I hope this is evident in the pieces I make. As I say constantly this beats getting a proper job! After years of being a stay at home mum working part-time and being self employed I really don't think I could go back to working for someone else, I am so happy working at my little bench and I hope that never changes.
